    Ompi, Stevanato Group's first company, is established. Originally called Soffieria Stella, it specializes in the production of glass bottles.

    The company moved to Piombino Dese.

    Ompi acquires a plant based in Latina, Italy.

  • 1995 1995

    Ompi becomes the first company in Italy to produce cartridges for insulin.

  • 1996 1996

    Ompi becomes a "Strategic Supplier" of "Japanese Quality" containers.

  • 1998 1998

    Ompi is the first to develop cartridges equipped with bypass.

  • 2002 2002

    Ompi achieves third place in the world for production of glass containers for pharmaceutical use, and leader in the production of syringes.

  • 2005 2005

    Ompi acquires a plant based in Bratislava, Slovakia.

  • 2007 2007

    A new department opens in Piombino Dese, Italy, dedicated to the production of ready-to-fill sterile syringes – EZ-fill™.

  • 2008 2008

    An Ompi plant opens in Monterrey, Mexico.

  • 2010 2010

    Production starts for EZ-fill™ vials & cartridges.

  • 2011 2011
    • The Monterrey plant in Mexico doubles in size.
    • Commercialization begins for the EZ-fill™ vials and cartridges.

    • Ompi is selected as a finalist at CPHI in the European Outsourcing Awards for its Ez-Fill ™ vials and cartridges.
    • New commercial office opens in China, and the foundation stone is laid for an Ompi plant in Zhangjiagang.

    Production begins in China.

  • 2014 2014

    A new plant is constructed in Piombino Dese, Italy, dedicated to the sterile EZ-fill™ production.

  • 2016 2016

    The Groundbreaking ceremony of the Ompi do Brasil plant takes place in Sete Lagoas and officially launch the construction works of the plant.
